On September 24–25, 2025, Tony Gao, Founder and President of EasyTransfer, attended the Forum for World Education (FWE) 2025 Education for Global Diplomacy and Peace Conference at The Penn Club of New York. In addition to his role at EasyTransfer, Tony serves as a Board Member of the FWE and as President of the FWE World Young Leaders Association. The two-day conference convened global leaders from academia, government, and business to explore how education can serve as a bridge for trust, dialogue, and international cooperation.

The Forum for World Education (FWE) is a global non-profit organization dedicated to transforming education to meet the evolving needs of societies worldwide. As an inclusive and apolitical platform, it unites business leaders, policymakers, and scholars to foster dialogue and advance education reform. Through our collaboration with FWE, we are dedicated to empowering students, fostering cross-cultural exchange, and supporting the development of global talent.

The conference convened distinguished leaders including Professor Bin Yang, Vice President and Provost of Tsinghua University; Professor Shijun Tong, Chancellor of NYU Shanghai; Professor Zhimin Chen, Vice President of Fudan University; Andreas Schleicher, Director for Education and Skills, OECD; Serguei Netessine, Senior Vice Dean for Innovation and Global Initiatives, Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania; and Professor Xue Lan, Dean of Schwarzman Scholars College and Dean of Institute of AI International Governance, Tsinghua University.

Under the leadership of Dr. Cheng Davis, President of FWE, participants discussed key themes including U.S.–China educational exchange, talent development, and cross-border collaboration. Panels and case-based sessions highlighted Tsinghua University’s approach to preparing future-ready leaders and showcased practical models of international education. The first day concluded with a keynote from Professor Jeffrey Sachs, Economist and Director of the Center for Sustainable Development at Columbia University, on Education for Global Citizenship.

On the second day, Tony delivered the opening remarks and moderated discussions with Susan Sclafani, Former Assistant Secretary for Education of the U.S. Department of Education. Highlights included a keynote from Matt Dalio, Founder and Chair of Endless, emphasizing international education as a vehicle for empathy, cross-cultural connections, and lifelong bridges. Discussions throughout the day focused on practical solutions to strengthen cooperation and the role of education as diplomacy.

Tony also shared the vision of his non-profit organization, Providence Academy, and introduced plans to expand its programs internationally with the FWE World Young Leaders Association, enabling students to collaborate and cultivate the next generation of globally minded leaders.

Building on this vision, EasyTransfer carries forward the same commitment on a broader scale — supporting international education and exchange, providing resources for students worldwide, and promoting global collaboration. As Tony highlighted, through education, we hope to build bridges between different cultures, enhance mutual understanding, and contribute to a closer, more peaceful global society.

EasyTransfer is proud to support the FWE in another successful conference and to provide a crucial platform for discussing and deepening understanding of international education, education diplomacy, and the cultivation of global leadership. We look forward to future FWE initiatives that continue to promote international understanding, transform education, and global cooperation.
